RECIRCLE MED participation in the “Paths That Last” event

On June 25–26, 2025,  RECIRCLE MED project partners, University of Thessaly and ASCAME, participated in the “Paths That Last” event, held in Split, Croatia. The event was organised by the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism which the Interreg Euro-MED Programme is part of together with Interreg Greece-Cyprus, Italy-Croatia, Italy-France Maritime, Italy-Malta, Italy-Slovenia, Italy-Tunisia and NEXT MED. This opportunity brought together a wide array of regional stakeholders to exchange strategies and practices for sustainable tourism development.

This high-level gathering focused on fostering collaboration and aligning efforts toward a more sustainable, circular, and resilient tourism model for the Mediterranean. It served as a platform to connect initiatives, promote capitalisation, and identify opportunities for mainstreaming project results across territorial and institutional frameworks.

   

Highlights from RECIRCLE MED presence in the event included the participation in key discussions on sustainable tourism initiatives, the projects’ capitalisation and mainstreaming, and future cooperation buildup. Additionally, RECIRCLE MED took part in workshops on tourism governance, strategic coordination, and green transition.

The “Paths That Last” event constituted a great opportunity for knowledge exchange and ideas sharing, which has equipped RECIRCLE MED team with valuable insights that will fuel the next steps of the the project.
