The RECIRCLE MED project had the pleasure to participate in the “Sustainable Blue Tourism” Online Capacity-building Workshop organized by the BlueDots project, on December 17th, 2025.
Blue tourism is central to the Blue Economy, and highly depends on marine and coastal ecosystems, that are increasingly threatened by activities’ pressures. Thus, it is important to share identified solutions, opportunities, and prospects raised by relevant initiatives.
This workshop brought together expertise, concrete tools, and grounded field realities from across different regions and sector of the blue economy, creating an inspiring environment for future synergies and advancements.
RECIRCLE MED project, has been represented by the University of Thessaly in this event, within Session 4: Quick-qin actions for destinations & operators.
Ms. Koutsopoulou presented the project objectives, conceptual integration of blue and circular tourism, step-by-step process, and overall methodology to the hands-on tool for the mediterranean coastal destinations.
RECIRCLE MED, committed to supporting the implementation of blue and circular tourism in the Mediterranean, the tourism is very glad to be a part of such activities.
