The Municipality of Ohrid is organizing its Local Capacity Building Workshop on May 22nd 2026.

Ohrid is a renowed tourism destination with considerable experience and a strong commitment to sustainable development, particularly in environmental protection and tourism management. Following the Local Mobilisation Workshop and Western Balkans Forum held in December, the Municipality of Ohrid invites the local community to take the next step.

Tailored to the specific needs of Ohrid, and focused on strengthening capacities related to the adaptation of the Blueprint and the implementation of the Blue Action Plan for Circular Tourism, this Workshop aims to:

  • Address local capacity gaps identified during needs assessment
  • Provide targeted training on blue and circular tourism concepts and practices
  • Support the operationalization of the Action Plan
  • Facilitate collaboration and feedback among local actors
  • Showcase practical tools and real-world applications
