RECIRCLE MED 3rd Steering Committee Meeting

10/09/2026

The RECIRCLE MED project partners had the pleasure of meeting in Pomorie, Bulgaria, on 2nd September 2026, bringing the partnership together to review progress and coordinate the next steps as the project enters its final year.

Following a warm welcome by the University of Thessaly, partners reflected on the progress achieved so far, exchanged updates from their respective territories, and discussed priorities and upcoming activities for the final phase of the project.

Since the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting, the partnership has focused particularly on the implementation of Local Mobilisation Workshops and Local Capacity Building Workshops across the participating territories. At the same time, partners have actively contributed to relevant forums, congresses and conventions engaging in wider discussions and exchanging knowledge on the transition towards more sustainable tourism models.

Following the internal project meeting, partners also participated in the Local Capacity Building Workshop in Pomorie. The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with local stakeholders and contribute to the development of the territory’s Blue Action Plan, building on the previous knowledge and results, and encouraging participatory approach to identify priorities and support locally relevant solutions.

The meeting in Pomorie represented another important milestone for the RECIRCLE MED partnership, reinforcing cooperation among partners and sustaining progress towards the project’s shared goal.
