RECIRCLE MED Local Mobilisation Workshop in Cefalù, Italy

The Municipality of Cefalù is hosting its Local Mobilisation Workshop for the RECIRCLE MED project, on the 22nd of November. The event will also open the local activities of the European Week for Waste Reduction.  

Cefalù is a popular tourism destination with several awards and strong involvement in circular and blue economy initiatives. As one of the destinations that will develop and implement tailored Blue Action Plans for Circular Tourism, the Municipality of Cefalù, calls the local community to take action.

Considering the specific needs, experience and gaps in the field, participants will have the chance to:

• Get to know the project and the Blueprint that has been developed for the creation of tailored Blue Action Plans. 
• Explore blue and circular economy practices, through the showcase of best practices by prominent speakers. 
• Participate in interactive co-creation activities and group discussions while fostering shared learning and exchange of ideas. Through hands-on participation, attendees will co-develop practical insights and strategies to support the implementation of project actions. 

The workshop aims to facilitate the local adaptation and adoption of the Blueprint to advance blue and circular tourism in the area. It represents a great opportunity to learn, share experiences, and shape solutions collectively in a dynamic and participatory environment.

Il Comune di Cefalù sta organizzando il primo laboratorio di mobilitazione del progetto RECIRCLE MED, che si terrà il 22 novembre. L’ evento segnerà anche l’avvio delle iniziative locali della Settimana Europea per la Riduzione dei Rifiuti.

Cefalù è una rinomata destinazione turistica, più volte premiata e attiva in iniziative legate all’economia circolareprimlu. Per  sviluppare e  realizzare il proprio Piano di Azione Blu/ Blue Action Plan per un turismo circolare, il Comune di Cefalù invita la comunità locale ad attivarsi.

Tenendo conto delle esigenze, dell’esperienza e delle lacune presenti nel territorio, i partecipanti avranno l’opportunità di:

• Conoscere da vicino il progetto e il Blueprint sviluppato per la creazione dei Blue Action Plans personalizzati.
• Avvicinarsi alle pratiche di economia blu e circolare attraverso la presentazione di buone pratiche illustrate da relatori di rilievo.
• Partecipare ad attività interattive di co-creazione e a discussioni di gruppo, favorendo l’apprendimento condiviso e lo scambio di idee. Grazie al coinvolgimento attivo, i partecipanti contribuiranno allo sviluppo di spunti pratici e strategie utili all’attuazione delle azioni del progetto.

Il laboratorio mira a facilitare l’adattamento e l’adozione locale del Blueprint per promuovere il turismo blu e circolare nell’area. Rappresenta un’ottima opportunità per apprendere, condividere esperienze e contribuire collettivamente alla definizione di soluzioni in un ambiente dinamico e partecipativo.
